屋久島の悠久の時を生きた樹齢千年以上の屋久杉から生まれた、至高の家具です。
テーブル1点・椅子4脚・スツール2点の合計7点セットでございます。




屋久杉は、現在では伐採が禁止され、入手できるのは希少な倒木や土埋木のみとなっています。
希少価値が高く、出会いの少ない逸品です。

応接やリビングを格調高く彩り、世代を超えて受け継がれる「一生ものの家具」として、特別な存在感を放つでしょう。


※「こぶ」や、※「光明」がしっかり出ているため、希少さが際立つ逸品です。

ーこぶー
屋久杉が長い年月の間に風雪や外的要因を受けると、樹木が自らを守ろうとして局所的に細胞が異常成長します。
その結果、表面にこぶ状のふくらみが生まれ、内部には複雑で渦を巻いたような木目模様が形成されます。
世界に二つとないこの模様は、自然が描いた唯一無二の芸術といえます。


ー光明ー
屋久杉が千年を超えて成長する過程で、年輪の繊維が非常に緻密に積み重なります。
その結果、木肌が光を反射し、まるで内側から輝くような「光明」が現れます。
これは樹齢の長さと厳しい自然環境がもたらす、屋久杉だけの神秘的な現象です。

This exquisite piece of furniture is crafted from Yakusugi cedars that are over 1,000 years old and have endured the eternal passage of time on Yakushima Island.
This seven-piece set includes one table, four chairs, and two stools.

Logging of Yakusugi cedars is now prohibited, and only rare fallen or buried timber can be obtained.

These pieces are highly prized and rare.

They will add elegance to any reception or living room, exuding a special presence as "lifetime furniture" to be passed down through generations.

The pronounced "knots" and "radii" make this a truly exceptional piece, making it even more rare.

-Knots-
When Yakusugi cedars are exposed to wind, snow, and other external factors over the years, abnormal cell growth occurs in localized areas in an attempt to protect themselves.

As a result, knotty bulges appear on the surface and a complex, swirling grain pattern forms within.

This unique pattern is a one-of-a-kind work of art created by nature.

-Light-

As Yakusugi cedars grow for over a thousand years, the fibers of their annual rings become extremely densely packed.
As a result, the bark reflects light, creating a "light" that seems to glow from within.
This is a mysterious phenomenon unique to Yakusugi cedars, brought about by their long age and harsh natural environment.
