Yakusugi Wooden Hibachi Table
As shown in the last image, put ashes inside the copper plate, add charcoal and enjoy the fire.
This traditional hibachi (Japanese brazier) is crafted from precious Yakusugi cedar, a sacred and centuries-old wood from Yakushima Island.
The central copper bowl is filled with ash, and charcoal is lit inside. You can place an iron pot, kettle, or small pan over it to enjoy warm tea, hot dishes, or simply the gentle warmth of the charcoal fire.
In the past, Japanese families gathered around the hibachi during cold seasons — it was both a source of heat and a place for conversation.
Today, it can also be enjoyed as a decorative centerpiece, a tea ceremony table, or a unique piece of Japanese craftsmanship.
